Kiln of the First Flame
The ash-covered end of the world, guarded by Black Knights. Gwyn, Lord of Cinder, waits by the First Flame.

- Black Knight Greatsword: Drop from greatsword Black Knights (Undead Parish, respawning ones in the Kiln of the First Flame).
- Black Knight Greataxe: Drop from axe Black Knights (one in the Catacombs, respawning one in the Kiln of the First Flame).
- Black Knight Halberd: Drop from halberd Black Knights (Darkroot Basin, Tomb of the Giants, respawning ones in the Kiln).
- Black Knight Shield: Rare drop from any Black Knight; the ones in the Kiln of the First Flame respawn.
- Black Knight Helm: On a body hanging off a beam in the Kiln of the First Flame.
- Black Knight Armor: On a body hanging off a beam in the Kiln of the First Flame.
- Black Knight Gauntlets: On a body hanging off a beam in the Kiln of the First Flame.
- Black Knight Leggings: On a body hanging off a beam in the Kiln of the First Flame.

Walkthrough: Kiln of the First Flame
- Drop into the Firelink Altar and place any Lord Souls you have not offered yet; the way to the Kiln opens once all are placed.
- Farm the Black Knights in the Kiln for titanite chunks and rare weapon drops.
- The Black Knight Set rests on a beam along the way.
- Optional co-op around levels 65–80.
- Defeat Gwyn, Lord of Cinder.
- Touch the bonfire that appears to link the fire and earn To Link the Fire.
- Or walk back out through the fog gate to become the Dark Lord and earn that achievement instead.
